No responses from the website, where I can apply e-visa? pls advise. thanks.

  • Admin Says:

Hi Xiao Juan, you are advised not to apply Visa online through the e-Visa website. You can apply your Visa after you have landed at both Siem Reap or Phnom Penh airport. It is called Visa On Arrival, it is USD20 each. Please bring along two passport size photo with you. Visa on arrival is available at all border entry port too.

I applied for my Cambodian evisa last week and have been getting emails back this week saying that my photo is too small or not clear. I’d attempted to send a better one back (still under the 1mb limit) and my emails have not been getting through. However, somone on that end received my information and charged my credit card. I’m not worried about that, I know I can dispute it if I don’t receive the “goods paid for”. But I am wondering if the evisa is currently not an option. It sounds like I can get a visa when I land in Siem Reap with no issue. I do have my 2 passport photos.

Hi Laura Gatz. Indeed, we have received many reports from travelers about the degrading in the services of current e-Visa service provider. Indeed, we would suggest all travelers to apply Visa On Arrival now. It is available at all entry ports, 25USD each, with two passport pictures. It is fast, you will be amazed with number of counters available at the airports.

Yes, you are right. Many are not aware of the rights of credit card holders where you can actually file a charge back to your credit card service provider and money will be deposited to your credit card.

  • Admin Says:

Judy, please use Visa On Arrival, instead of Cambodia e-Visa. Visa on arrival is cheaper, 20USD only. You need to bring two passport size picture with you. You can apply it at all entry port to Cambodia including Siem Reap and Phnom Penh airport.

if you are Nigerian or Pakistan, you can call this number for help to get the Visa.
I have tried and it works but you have to pay USD100.
Call +60123933938, +60196636116, +60192723780 or +60379571111 ask for the CEO.
No Gurantees but you have to pursuade him a little bit and be persistent. He is afraid to get caught by the police.

For those of you who are interested, the story in the begininng is as follows. I heard it from those in the know.

Mr Hong of Ministry of Forfeign Affairs could not get anyone to work on e-Visa project as most companies don’t trust Cambodia authorities. All the software vendors require upfront & progressive payment which Cambodia will not pay. On top of that, the authorities expected to be bribed for project like this and will not give any assurance or guarantee.

Mr Hong tried to recruit a software developer for more than a year and was unsuccessful, people like Seanet, CIS did their proposals but was not accepted because they demanded upfront payment.

Mr Hong then tried to get TY Thong to pursuade CP Group and PacificNet to sponsor the project but was also unsuccessful.

Desperate, they turned to Adrian who devised an crooked method to cheat his company and partners, to get them to develop, finance and market the project to a stage when it is successful.

Right after e-Visa become successful and making profits, which was almost 3 years later, Adrian, TY and Hong double crossed their partners and take off with their money and investment.

And that is how the court case came about. Hopefully the law will previal and punish Adrian, TY and Mr Hong who has no shame.

e-Visa is an illegal system now that it has been hijacked.

Please use on-arrival Visa at all Cambodia entry points which are cheaper and your money will not go to only these crooks like Hong, TY and Adrian.

I just came back from Cambodia. It was very easy to get a VISA there at the THAI border. Make sure to bring two passport size photos or you will be paying more. It’s about 25US and don’t let them tell you at the border to change all your American dollars to Reil as they will rip you off and it’s a complete scam. Cambodia is run more with the US dollar than Reil anyway – so hold tight to that.

  • suspicious Says:

I just check http://www.mfaic.gov.kh for e-Visa. The site looks very amateurish and I suspect is it a fraud. It doesnt look anything like the one I used before and i get problems in using it.
I advise travellers to just use on-arrival Visa. With e-Visa I am just not sure if it if it is a fraud.
